Taking a Kombucha Bath - First Time

I had a large amount of kombucha ferment too much as I was super busy last week. When it ferments more than it should, it turns into vinegar.

It was really acidic as vinegar is, so I thought maybe I would use it to take a bath. I use a bottle of vinegar in my shower to help remove the biofilm I have from the parasite I have. I have also added apple cider vinegar into my bath for many years.

I have never had so much vinegar to put into the bath but it reacted just like the vinegar I have used over the years. It did dissolve the biofilm and smelled just like the apple cider vinegar.

I didn't have much time to soak, but did feel like it was helpful at taking off the biofilm. I am so tired that I thought maybe taking a bit of a relax may help.

I am hoping I can get some energy back. I am super tired. I have a list of things I want to get done and just look at the list hoping I get some energy at some point to start getting things off the list.

Have a blessed day!

Once Again Asleep in the Chair - Holding On

I have been so tired today and got some things done, but about 9 p.m. I started getting so tired I could hardly stand it, so I made a few videos and hoped to be able to upload one, but as I started to do that, I got so sleepy. I have also been dealing with some stomach things recently as well.

So, instead of putting up a post, I am posting nothing. It has been a somewhat rough day!

I hope yours was better! Have a blessed day!

Tee Pee and Hammock - Camping Fun

I am exhausted and have tried to get a few things done today since we went camping this weekend for our annual Easter Camp-out with my family.

I haven't gone in five years now as my girls were all busy, or I didn't feel up to going and getting the trailer and suburban ready. I had LOTS of help from family getting things ready and helping with issues on the trailer.

I helped a neighbor a few months back to clean out her basement. While doing that, she had a homemade tee pee she was getting rid of and I thought my grandchildren would enjoy playing in it. I decided to take it camping and it was a hit with the kids!

I ordered a hammock for my father for Christmas a few years back and that was also a hit with the grandchildren. They would climb in and beg for someone to push them.

I am hoping I feel better tomorrow. I am still exhausted and finished cleaning up all the coolers and other food items today. It was nice to be able to sleep in as I have had the grand-kids and love them when they are around, but I also love to be able to catch up on sleep when I can.

I found a similar tee pee online and it is $100. It's more authentic being light in color, but I like that mine is darker in color so I don't worry about it getting dirty camping and think I will leave it in the trailer for our reunion.

Here is a link to the similar tee pee in case you are interested in getting one.

Here is a link to the post where I share about the Hammock I researched and bought for my father.

I would recommend both of these items for camping. Both are easy to set up and are enjoyable for all ages.

Have a blessed day!

I Haven't Gone Even 600 Miles in Five Years in My Suburban

I got my suburban started the other day for the first time in 2 years. I was able to get the car started by putting all the gas from a five gallon gas can into the tank and cranking it for a long time to prime the line.

I had checked the fluids and while doing that, I
noticed that the serpentine belt had cracks in it and I didn't want to take any chances on it breaking while I was driving, so I called my mechanic to ask if he could fit it in and he said he could.

Luckily, Princess One was here with her family so I had someone to help me drop the car off and pick it up as living alone, I have to find help to do that.

I mentioned to my mechanic that I wanted him to check a few of the fluids as I didn't have those at home, and wanted to make sure I could travel safely. He had it much longer than expected and he said the fuel filter was oozing black gunk.

He was able to update some of the older parts that could cause an issue and as I was driving down to his shop to have the work done that I realized that I hadn't driven the car even 600 miles since 2016! We haven't been Easter camping in five years now. I go to the lake reunions and since I started organizing those from the beginning, I got to pick the lake!

We used to visit another lake much further away, but the camp grounds were so angled that it made it hard to do anything except a zip line. I like this lake much more as do my family as there is a covered pavilion and the water is not really close, so it is safer for kids.

I have been really happy with the lake as there are showers and bathrooms which is always nice! ha ha

Have a blessed day!

Coloring Some Easter Eggs - Fun Family Activity

Princess One thought it would be a great idea to color Easter Eggs.

I wasn't sold on the idea. Having done it many times with little children, I know that it is a messy event using cups that will tip over if they try to pull out an egg the wrong way.

The eggs crack when they get dropped into the cups. The little metal bent holder allows the egg to fall off it if isn't bent just right so I was worried. I purchased eggs yesterday and went to the dollar store and bought a few kits.

We did it outside but picked the wrong day as it was REALLY cold out. I couldn't believe how cold it was. The kids didn't last as long and I hurried to color half the eggs at the end with solid colors just to get finished and get inside.

We let them dry and then the kids put stickers from another kit on them. It was really cute to see the pride and ownership they had over the eggs that they colored.

I will blog about how we did it another day. I am tired and want to spend time with my cute beauties so I am going to bed.

Have a Blessed Day!

This Little Prince Is Turning THREE

It is so fun to have my daughter and her family to visit! I LOVE when they come and spend some time with me.

There are different things to do at her house than my house and it is so much fun to be able to do those different things at each place.

Since I don't live near them, I wanted to celebrate Grand-Prince 2's birthday while they were here. He is going to be turning 3. I LOVE that he is starting to talk and express himself. He was able to say my name correctly on his own for the first time today.

I LOVE hearing him say my name and he will always get my attention by saying my name before he tells me what he wants. He is so cute walking around with his binoculars all the time showing them to me and saying he can "See you" and I got him a Disney set of chunky books that has a rope handle on it and he carry's one in each hand and shows me all the time.

Grand-Princess One made him a "play dough" cake with candles on it and came up with the idea all by self. She even had him blow out the candles after we sang. It was really cute.

I found a really fun toy that the boys LOVED. I am going to share about it at another time. I was glad I found something that makes them happy.

Happy Birthday Grand Prince 2! I am blessed!

My Sister and Her Husband are Such a BLESSING

I haven't driven my suburban in almost 2 years. It was August 2019 when we took it to the lake. With Covid, we didn't go last year.

With the car sitting for almost 2 years without running, the tires cracked and went flat. I have spent days calling places and looking for tires as my tires were a size 16 rim and those tires are hard to find used.

I was going to drive a few hours away to get some and then one dealership suggested that I put larger rims on as they are move common and there were LOTS of 17 inch rims for sale and many more tires than the 16 inch so I started looking into buying new rims and tires.

I told my sister this, and she called me later saying that her husband wanted to put a lift on his truck and get new bigger tires and rims and they got an insurance payout that would cover it as he was doing the work on the ruined car himself, so she said they wanted to give me their tires and rims.

I was so excited to know that I didn't have to worry about driving and finding new ones. I don't have the funds right now to purchase new tires and really, to put new tires on a car that is just going to be used once or twice a year is a bit crazy.

I need to buy tire covers to make sure these tires last and it will be nice that the car will be ready to go when we need it.

When I tried to put the new battery in the car tonight, I couldn't get the terminal cable off and it stripped off as it was corroded and the battery is a side mount. After cutting my hand in a few places and bleeding all over, I called my brother-in-law, and he came over to help me get them off and cut part of the battery plastic off and was able to get it off without having to put a new cable on.

I am so grateful they have been so supportive of me lately. I have been so stressed with so much going on and having a headache last night and not sleeping, that them helping me out so much today was a huge blessing!

Have a blessed day!
