The event wasn't so much of hiking as exploring. There are hundreds of dead end little slots with weather and wind worn formations. It is such a small area that it isn't a part or anything but they have made a campground around the formations which is a great idea so that people can enjoy exploring in the area.
You can see a small bit of the formations from the highway, but the area is quite hidden for the most part and there isn't much traffic to the campground so it gives you a chance to explore without lots of company.
Hopefully you will enjoy the photos as much as we do. I have one more spot we stopped and did a bit of hiking to see some pictographs and petroglyphs. I will share those photos tomorrow.
