Little Reminders To Trust in God - 111 - Angels Guiding Reunion

I saw three different specialists this week. I had to travel to a large city for that as there were only a few options and I would have to travel in different directions to visit different specialists.

I asked the Dr. if he could refer me to one larger city / hospital and see if I could get the appointments on the same day rather than traveling in different directions. He sent the referrals and then I called in and after a prayer was able to make all three appointments several months out and get them all on the same day.

I was going to head out of town the day before and visit my mothers grave along with my grandparents with my family on Memorial Day, but I had a horrible migraine and vomited and felt horrible for the entire day. I ended up getting up super early and made the long drive to the first appointment. I walked out of that appointment at 1:11 p.m. I laughed and took a screen shot as I took it as a sign that things are going to be "OK" when I saw that.

I then drove to the next appointment, then the third specialists. This appointment was at the Main Hospital and the parking garage was crazy. I drove around and around looking for a parking spot. Finally, someone pulled out and I pulled in.

When getting out, a tissue dropped out of the car onto the ground. I noticed it when I closed the door. I am not one to litter, so I bent down to pick it up and saw a really dark penny on the ground just under the car that I couldn't see from my angle while standing. I had to take a photo as it was so weird that in the entire four or five level parking garage, I get the one spot that has a penny on it and somehow drop a tissue out of the door trash.

I then went to put a rainbow pinwheel on my mothers grave since I wasn't able to go visit it on Memorial day, and I get talking to my sister on the phone as she texted me while I was headed to her grave. I sat in my car visiting and when I hung up, I was about to start my car, and I hear voices behind my car and I look back and see my oldest brother, his wife and their youngest son walking to her grave with a container of flowers!

I guess they weren't able to visit her grave that day either. If I hadn't have talked to my sister in the car, I would have missed them. We had a good visit for over and hour and I got a great hug from my nephew.

I can't help think that my mother was orchestrating all those events to let me know that things will be alright. I was grateful for those reminders to Trust in God, and for the 111 and especially getting to see my brother and his family who are leaving to serve a mission in South America assisting the leaders over 5 countries. I won't see them for 18 months. I was grateful for that visit and getting to say goodbye.

I went to the store to pick up some groceries today since I was out of town, and there were a few pennies around the store. I found one at the checkout, and I am grateful for those constant reminders to Trust in Him!

I am blessed!

Some Days You Give and Others You Take

Yesterday, I shared about a situation where a friend helped me see some things within myself and I posted about what I learned about myself.

Last night, I had a friend texting me late into the night. I got my blog written, climbed into bed and couldn't get to sleep as I am taking a new thyroid medication and I think it is messing with my sleep schedule as the thyroid regulates the sleep hormones.

I was just about asleep, and about 6 a.m. this friend started texting me and asked if they could call at 6:30. We talked for over 2 hours and I thought they were in a good place after having a rough night.

I got a call from another friend immediately after that whose mother had a heart attack today and we visited for about 40 minutes. I had texts before I got off the phone with her and replied to the texts from the first friend who wasn't in a good place and was struggling with some choices in life that are hard.

I then had several texts and chats about things I am selling and I am helping my elderly neighbor clean out her yard and shed since her husband died, and had to work out a man coming to buy 100 pieces of wood she is selling, but I had to make sure she is going to be home when the man can come to pick them all up.

I finished replying to all the people about items for sale and fell asleep for about an hour before the texts started again from my first friend. I was having a song running through my mind called, "It Is Well With My Soul." I sent a link to a version on YouTube I thought he may like. Here is a link to the version I sent him!

We texted back and forth and I was so sad that they are in a tough position and with a big heart, it makes the choice all that harder to make. I have been working on trying not to give advice on situations unless a person asks for my advice, or I ask if they would like some advice. I am constantly catching myself starting to give advice and I have to stop and ask the person if they would like my advice or suggestions.

I did it so much today that this person started to ask the question to me when I stopped myself from giving advice. I laughed because I really am trying to be better. Each of my kids know I have been working on this for a year, so you would think I would be better at it by now, but I am still struggling to remember to start that way.

I had someone come to my door and it was a window salesman and then I went to eat dinner but got another call from this friend for almost an hour and we visited and I think things went better on the second call in some ways but more information was shared on the first call.

I love that they felt they could call me and share with me. I appreciate that some days I am the one in need, and other days, I am the one that can give. Friends are so wonderful to be there when I need someone, and I am glad that I could be there when a friend needed someone.

I have been fasting since Sunday night for a medical test yesterday, but chose to keep fasting for the poor Ukraine people suffering so much. My church suggests fasting once a month and giving the money saved from not eating the food to purchase things for the poor. Or, you fast for a purpose, like to help those that are sick, or for an answer to some situation you are dealing with in your life. While praying for this friend today, the fast makes prayers more intense and I do believe that God heard and answered the prayers for this person!

I am really tired tonight and need to finish a few things needing attention. I will be happy to get to bed. However, I fell asleep in the chair and woke stiff and felt like a bobble head. ha ha. I woke an hour or so later and was able to upload the photos and finish posting this!

I feel blessed to have friends that will sacrifice their time for me, and I am glad at times, I can sacrifice for them! I love my friends and wish that they all could have easy lives, but as we all know, God gives us trails to help us grow. I know this friend is strong and God will bless them in their trial!

I hope you are as blessed with good friends as I have been! Have a Blessed day!

Princess Five Gave a Mission Homecoming Report

Tonight we had a wonderful Mission report from Princess Five. My sister wanted to have a weekly meeting with all the family and has been organizing a Monday night zoom meeting for all the missionaries in my family to report about their missions.

Since six of them had to return home before their missions were actually finished, some of them are planning on going back into the mission field. One nephew has already gotten a new mission call. He was serving in Thailand and has just gotten a call to go to California in July.

We have heard from all but one of the missionaries who will be reporting her mission next week.

Princess Five was able to give an hour report and share pictures of her mission and tell some wonderful stories of her service to others.

She shared her work at Ellis Island and things about each city she lived in. She shared about the people she taught and some insights she gained while serving.

She was so passionate about her testimony of her Father in Heaven and His blessings in her life, and about sharing that knowledge with others.

I am blessed to have amazing daughters.

Have a Blessed Day!

That's All Folks! Last Email from Princess Five as A Missionary I Forgot To Share

Princess Five wrote this last email Monday as she was getting ready to leave her mission this week.

I posted early that day knowing I would have a busy night and next day picking up Princess Five and lots of driving as well as other errands.

I forgot to share her last note and pictures of her mission life, so wanted to share it here so that her entire mission was journaled on the blog. I am going to miss getting updates from her weekly as none of the girls keep up communication in that way, and we do video chats and texts mostly, so I don't often get a lengthy update on their lives.

Here is the last email from Princess Five as a missionary:
"I don't have much time but, this week was a bitter sweet, I said a lot of goodbyes, and it's been pretty hard.

On the bright side though, Eva came to church! She said the closing prayer, and when we talked to her later, she said that she loved it and was excited to prepare for next weeks lesson! She is such a light and she is so excited to be baptized! For my fellow missionaries, you can forward your emails to  me, as for the rest of you, I will talk to you soon!

Hermana Princess Five"

I think Princess Five will be missed by those she left behind. I have to say that I am enjoying any minute I get to spend with her and am always looking for something to do with her just so I can be with her. Even if it is watching her unpack or just talking. She has such a light about her that it is a blessing to be around her.

Hope you are staying safe and have a blessed day!

My Joy Is Full - Princess Five Is Home

My Joy is so full having Princess Five HOME! Princess Four decided to come home and quarantine with us for the two weeks.

We spent the day dropping off things for family, putting a flower wreath and pinwheel on my mothers grave for Mother's day and Memorial day coming up, getting some groceries and then to the airport to pick up Princess Five!

They had signs up to park on a certain parking level in alphabetical order and stating you can't go into the airport. We parked near a pilon and taped up a welcome home sign and put up some helium balloons taped to the edges.

She had to collect her luggage and come to the parking garage. We loved being able to hug and see her in person. I was so grateful for Princess Four choosing to come down, as she had made a list of songs she wanted to share with Princess Five and they sat in the back seat together for our long drive home and visited giggling and sharing songs.

We had a family chat so that the other girls could see her, and then Princess Two picked up some Thai food and met us on the highway where she distanced from us, and we visited and ate a late dinner.

We arrived home late and had put up several signs and Princess Five loved them. It was a truly wonderful day and I felt my JOY was FULL having such a beautiful moment realizing what beautiful girls I am blessed with.

Have a blessed day!

Getting Ready For Princess Five to Come Home - Happy Day

I spent the day getting ready to bring Princess Five home. So excited for her to be coming home.

Princess Four decided to come home and spent the two week quarantine with her so she would have more than just me home.

I took some balloons to get filled, got some posters up and have two banners, one for the airport and one for the house.

On my errands, I was able to find some coins. I bought groceries for two weeks for the three of us. I was able to buy some snacks that I thought the two would enjoy on our long journey from the airport home. I don't dare stay anywhere with her as she will travel through two flights and three airports and don't want to put anyone at risk.

We will be working together on the yard and on my neighbors yard and garage and some other projects. It will be so fun to have all of us together for a few weeks. I bought all her favorite meals and enough fruit and salad for a few weeks. It will be so good to just get to be with them.

I pray she arrives home safe and without Covid-19. I am grateful that she was able to complete her mission and pray that all goes well this next month!

Have a blessed and safe day!

Last Week In NY for Princess Five

Here's your Daily quote for the week.

Hey everybody!! Not a whole lot of new stuff this week but it was good:)

We are still stuck in isolation but things are starting to loosen up! They opened up the parks! Not that we've gone, but hey that's still fun!

Oh my gosh the weather has been so nice here!! We've spent so much time outside enjoying the beautiful weather!

We got to take the sacrament! This is only the second time of isolation but it was awesome! We got to drive to the end of our area and go to the Bishop's house and take it with him and his family. Man I miss people so much. We had to leave right after but, I would have loved to stay.

Our friends are doing really good. It has been hard because a lot of them are struggling financially and they keep reaching out to us for help and it just breaks my heart that I can't help them. Please pray for them.

We made a new friend this week. His name is Lee. We met him on Facebook and he is really solid! He likes reading in the Book of Mormon and even came to our Sunday School call! We are excited to see how he keeps doing!

Josie s doing well. Poor lady though! She cut off the tip of her thumb so that has been a painful process. We taught her the law of tithing and fasting this week though and she really liked it and even committed to fasting! We love her so much, she has hands down been the biggest blessing from isolation.

That's about all but I love you all! Sending hugs and little Korean finger hearts!

NY Boat Club - Two Weeks To Go - Counting Down

Our recent convert Saem always says things such as motivational Monday, and self care Saturday, he always makes us laugh.

This week has probably the hardest one of isolation, but we are still working hard:) we definitely have never been this busy. There are some good things to isolation:)

Here are some of the highlights:

-We had a Spanish Sunday School this week!! It was awesome. Our friend Josie came and she really liked it:):) we also put her on date! We don't know when we are going to be able to have a baptism, the isolation has been extended indefinitely but we are trying for June 21st! She really is doing so much to learn, it's been really cool, she always takes notes in our lessons and marks up her Book of Mormon!

-my comp got a rubix cube and I can now solve it... with the instructions!

-we got a new sink! Our sink was really special. It started leaking really bad so we had to only use the sprayer but we got a new one! Miracles can happen!

-We finally got ahold of ELSA!! She has been crazy busy during all this because she's a nurse, but she finally had time and we were able to have an INCREDIBLE member with her and one of our less active members, it was seriously amazing! We taught her the Word of Wisdom and Law of Tithing and she accepted it soooooo willingly. I love her so much, and she will be baptized when all this blows over!

-We went on a drive to the Hudson this week! That was so refreshing! The beach was closed, but we found this cute little dock and we went out to the end and took pictures. It was really nice to get out and do something. We can't go out for much but we are able to get sunshine sometimes.

That's about all but we are still working hard!
