I gave away those original Nintendo Gameboy units at a family function years ago. We then upgraded to the Gameboy color units having two of those.
We have a large stack of the old games and one of the color Gameboy units left.
Then, the middle kids got two of the Gameboy advance games and we had two of those and bought the middle sized games for those two game systems.
When the younger girls got to that age, the girls got Gameboy DS units. With the purchase of those, they had MANY more option of games by that time. After those units, phones started to show up with texts and then iPods, so we didn't upgrade to the newer Nintendo units that came along.
The girls units could play two different types of games each so we had some issues with one girl taking another girls games. After those problems, I started collecting all three types of games at second hand stores when I could find them for a few dollars each.
I had a small tote of games and game units I purchase since the older girls liked some of the games that only play on the new units. This weekend, when four of the girls were home, they were able to go through the piles of games and then each pick in turn the games they were interested in so each got some games they enjoy.
I kept a few of the newest units with little kids games for the grandchildren to play with as they like that type of thing when they come to visit.
I also ended up with a tote of gaming accessories, various games, cases, and boxes to get rid of and am super happy that we have been able to get through some things while the girls were home.
Stay safe and have a blessed day!
