This week was filled with ups and downs, miracles and a lot of knocking doors!
-we taught a lot of English classes this week, and at every single one we went to, they also agreed to learn about the gospel! Yay!
-we went to a members restaurant to visit her and see how she was doing. She lives in union city, but commutes 2+ hours everyday to and from work in Plainfield, she's way cool! She made us "sopes" which a traditional Mexican dish, it was super good!
-we met a lady named Onora this week, we set a same day appointment and taught her English. She's had some crazy struggles in her life, but has remained positive through it all, she told us she finds joy in making sweets, so she gave us some lúcuma popsicles she had made. Lúcuma in english is egg fruit, they grow in Perú and they are kind of nutty, it was pretty good.
-our friends Huasca and Jen came to church with their kids and they LOVED IT! We had a really wonderful lesson with them this week where we just read the Book of Mormon with them, they understand everything very well.
We tried doing a table stand with the elders this week about families we even had free popsicles, but it quickly turned into a table stand for free English classes, because that is the most effective approach here in Plainfield 😅
