Easter Egg Dying the AWESOME Way - Part 4 Final Products

I have so many finished eggs that I am just going to title them and have them under the description of how they were made. The first one showing was done with rick-rack and cute thick edging ribbon and a fern leaf.

The next was done using the yellow ribbon to the left, and string wrapped around it. Remember it is easier with something around the middle to hold the string on. Elastic or ribbon or something that will hold the string in place.

The next was done using the wax pencil. I just show this to contrast the other wax from post 2. This is lighter and not as defined but still easier to use and cute and cheaper.

The next was leaves off a plant in the yard. I liked the shape that came out of it but wish I had done the leaves alternating from sides or something and it may have been easier to hold them on using elastics in a few spots and that could have given it more texture.

This one was done by wrapping shelf rubber liners around it all the way on the smaller and a strip tied around the middle on the larger egg.

This one was done by pulling fabric around the egg to the top but overlapping the layers of the fabric gathering it and that gave the lines. You can tie it at the top for the long stripes or on the side for stripes going the other direction.

This is the egg my daughter stuck elastics on and then used the paint brush to paint the dye onto different quadrants. The other is an elastic one that she died it one color and then took off an elastic or two so the stripes are of different colors. You can also see the other elastic ones from the top of yesterdays post.

This was such a fun thing to do with the girls. Share what you came up with so we can try it next time. Hope you have as much fun as we did making these.

Funny, as I posted my first post on the eggs the other night, the time I started writing the post was 1:11. Must have been a good post!
