Taylor Swift, Move on Over....

Princess number five decided she wanted to learn to play the guitar when I was cleaning out some things last week. Monday night, I showed her a few chords and she was on it.

The next two days she played so much that she got blisters. I have several music books with the chords and a Beatles anthology so I thought she had plenty to work with but there is nothing like popular songs to motivate kids. She downloaded three Taylor Swift songs and one from the last Narnia movie and within about four days was playing them all quite well.

Friday comes around and she invites a friend to sleep over. Princess Five starts playing and her friend who sings started in and they sounded really good. They are planning on singing and playing at the school talent show. Princess 3 and 4 both came in at different times and told me how impressed they were with Princess number fives playing.

Princess number 3 got motivated so Princess five showed her some chords and now she has been practicing as well. Princess four didn't want to miss out on the action so when we had house guests today, I asked Princess five to play but she still is a bit slow on the playing and singing at the same time so Princess number four did the singing. I took video and posted it. It isn't the most amazing thing but for having played the guitar for only one week, it is amazing.
