All of the girls graduated high school with a years worth of college credits. Many of them graduated in a year with their associates but two chose to stay a second year as they were ambassadors for the college and were actually making money going to school due to stacked scholarships and both also had two good jobs which they could work through the summers so I told them to take their time and get more prerequisites done for their bachelors degree as they were making money while going to school.
Princess Five decided that she wanted to graduated in a year as did some of her older sisters so that she could maybe serve as a missionary like three of her four older sisters. She isn't sure what she wants to go into for her bachelors degree so she took some general education classes and filled every spare moment with being in every acting production she could at the college and each production gave her 2 credits so that gave her enough credits to graduate in the one year.
She, for some reason, didn't apply for graduation as I don't think she knew it had to be as soon as it was so instead of paying the extra funds to graduate, she opted to have them send it to her in the mail. I was "OK" with this option as we were able to get some great photos of her with no one around as they were all in the ceremony, so we took some fun pictures and videos and then went to lunch just before the crowds showed up!
It was a beautiful day and all the trees were in bloom and smelled heavenly and the wind kept the day cool enough to be enjoyable but it did make for some difficult pictures as her hair was whipping in her face for half of the pictures but we had fun getting some great shots. I probably took several hundred pictures and it was an enjoyable day.
It didn't hit me until a bit later that I wouldn't be going to anymore graduations from there. No more road trips to visit the girls there. I love that they all had such wonderful experiences at the college as it was a good transition school for them from the high school of a small town to college and then on to the larger universities.
Princess Five doesn't know where she wants to continue her education and hasn't applied anywhere due to the option of serving as a missionary but does plan on continuing her schooling once returning from serving.
I am so proud of her that she could keep up her grades to nearly 4.0 and still be involved so heavily in all the productions and the improvisation team. I am not sure of the exact gpa as her grades haven't posted yet but I think she had one A- her first semester when she had a lead in her first college play.
I have loved going to see her perform and hope that at some point I will be able to see more of her on stage as I think that is where she is happiest and shines brightest. She is aware that acting doesn't pay for most people and doesn't provide insurance so is looking into maybe teaching so she can share that love with others. She will continue to ponder on it as she moves forward but I am just so PROUD of her being able to accomplish everything she has in such a short time. She is brilliant and amazing and I continue to wonder why I am SO blessed with such amazingly talented, smart, and beautiful daughters both inside and out!
God has truly blessed me!!!!! Here is a picture of Princess Three editing some fun jumping videos and hair flip shots and they were reviewing them together. She loved having her sister there as we don't get to see her much with her living so far away.
Have a Blessed and Abundant Day!
