Continued from Yesterday... They
thought it would take them some time to sell the condo but Princess One
was worried about moving as Prince number one started his last semester of his
Masters degree today. She wanted to get moved in before he started but to the surprise of everyone, the condo sold in four days to a cash offer.
Princess
One is sure a drug lord purchased it. She said he drives a new Escalade and
the condo is just off the highway and by paying cash, no trails etc.
Since this is Prince One's last semester, they don't want to get stuck into a year contract. In a college town, sometimes it is hard to find a place that will let you take a month to month rental. If they rent to you for a month or two, then all the students have a place to live and are in a contract for the year, it can be hard to rent it during the school year.
With that in hand, they rushed out to see the only place that they found that would allow them to have a month to month contract. They are possibly moving to the East after graduation in December so they only have four or five months in the new place.
The new place is such a contrast to what they had. It is very dark and has paneling in each room and dark carpet. The old place was exact opposite. The other place had lots of parking and the new place has two sardine stalls.
They are grateful for the place however as it has a second bedroom where my nephew can still live with them and save himself some rent and help them a bit with their rent.
I had to take a picture of the bathroom floor. I loved the pattern, right out of the seventies.
The best thing about the place was the fridge. Nice and big. The kitchen is a good size as well which is nice. I am kinda glad that it is only for a few months.
I hope that they will find a better place before the baby is born. They will have about two months after graduation before the birth, so we can pray that they find a place and are settled before then, even if it is in Washington D.C. It will just give me a reason to visit one of my favorite places on earth. Our church has a beautiful temple there that I have missed and could enjoy visiting again.
